Situated just north of University City, Powelton Village is one of Philadelphia's best-kept secrets. It's located right on the edge of Drexel’s Main Campus. The neighborhood is known for its friendly and diverse residents. Because it is on the West side of the Schuylkill river, it has easy access to 30th Street station. The streets are some of the prettiest in the city with huge Victorian homes and tree lined streets. Powelton Village is bordered by Lancaster Avenue, which is continually transforming the area. The resurgence of new restaurants and new shops keeps this area attractive to young professionals.
